Just in case anyone gives a crap about SEC Football

Razorbacks Spoil Auburn's Dreams of Perfect Season

Then-unranked Arkansas smoked then-#2 Auburn this past weekend.

As happens so often in life, the Onion provides a clue as to the reason.

If I wasn't a Big Ten follower and actually cared what happened in the SEC, this would have been comforting.

Very funny - would be more believable if they hadn't been playing Arkansas.

Go Trojans!

The talking heads picked Texas. Some of them even picked Iowa. Doubtless they'll pick Michigan, too.

Nothing like having the best team in the country and still being able to play the "underdog/no respect" card.

I am presently enjoying, in a backhanded way, all the talk about Florida. Whatever. Everyone else is playing for the right to be fed to The Ohio State University Buckeyes.

5

I, too, have heard all the talking heads who claim that if the Buckeyes only had to play in the big, bad SEC, then they'd be too worn out to continue in the #1 spot.

I remain unconvinced.

Good point, Bram.

I sort of tuned that inconsistency out when I saw the Onion piece.

Instead, I pretended that the grammar corrections were done by some future opponent, and that Arkansas didn't in fact even NEED Auburn's game plan to beat their asses.
