The Force Is Strong With This One!

And a big round of applause for David, my sister's first kid, who joined us just after midnight, July 13 2005. Three weeks late, and if he's anything like his mother I'm sure it was out of sheer bullheadedness... "the hell I'm getting out of here!"

[wik] For a moment I pondered being the jerkwad dinglebrat I am and posting this under the category "Darwin Award Contender," but then I thought to myself, "why not give the kid a fighting chance?"

I think it's great. I'm actually already "Crazy Uncle Johno" to my wife's brother's kids, so I've had practice. I have a dance and everything. I'm famous for the dance. I meet other kids that my wife's brother's kids know and they say "do the dance! do the dance!"

Well, it would seem the extra three weeks were spent growing hair, learning to make a fist, and perfecting the art of being cute.

So, time well spent and all.

Better bring a DVD of Aladdin, 'cuz the dance needs its soundtrack!

You know what's weird? Seeing your sister's cheekbones and nose in your brother in law's head. That's weird. I love this kid!

He's adorable! Awww, makes me want another one. Of course, they only stay that cute and small for a short time. Once they get out of that stage they start doing *really* cute things like flushing hand towels down the toilet. But hey, at least they have their new language skills to tell you why none of the plumbing works. Congratulations!!
