Gratuitous Child Photo

My mom sent me this photo she took when she was up over the holidays. I had to share:

Our baby girl is amazed at her world.

[wik] The Ministry of Future Perfidy reports in late 2025 that that crab still exists, and is still lovingly referred to as, "The Hippy Crab."

my new babies always disliked anyone that did not have "food built in"...

She is beautiful, and looks sooo very happy.

Kids are amazing at that age - in the best circumstances, they almost always seem to have a smile on their faces.

My daughter is just now getting to the time when smiles will probably be fewer in number, at least for a while, so I'd suggest that you enjoy the shit out of it while you can. I know I have.

Oh, and not to be gratuitous, but she's lovely.

She doesn't scream much, neither did the boy, actually. She does make an odd noise when she's thinking, sounds a little like the aliens in Mars Attacks. Cute in a fifties B-movie sort of way. She's a happy girl, has been since about two months old. She spent the first couple months hating everyone but mommy. Which was really frustrating to the grandparents and me.

And I am enjoying the shit out of it.

Actually, when I first saw this, the caption that popped into mind was, "Daaaaaad, make the scary hippie crab go away!"

How sweet!

For some reason the image I had in my mind, of a baby fathered by someone called "buckethead", was really ugly.

I mean, if you wear a bucket, you're either quite strange, or quite hideous - right? I put a bucket over my head a couple of times when I was 2 and then the novelty wore off. ;)

Very cute! It looks like she is about to let out a high pitched scream. Hopefully she won't be into the whole random screaming. My ears have never been the same...

I make up for ugliness with charm, brilliance and style. You don't notice the growths on my head when you're laughing. Btw, Maps, I would not be so gauche, or so obvious, as to serve you dirt. My revenge will be much more subtle.

Not that you're wrong about my baby girl and her mother.

Nicholas,

Buckethead *is* really ugly. Fortunately, his wife is very attractive and the baby takes after her.

I know this means he's going to serve me dirt when I get to his house next time around.

CODEWORD: plan
As in, Mapgirl should plan on eating dirt the next time she goes to see Buckethead.
