They did... under heavy guard. Well, the cubs may have had their own Bill Buckner moment. If that turns out to be the event that lost them the championship, get ready for another hundred years of that image, every single September.

I was reading a copy of the USA Today sports pages, and apparently Alou, at least, is no longer angry at him. But that won't save the guy from angry Cubs fans. The only thing that will save him is a Cubs win tonight.
Seeing as the guy was a Cubs fan - at least he was wearing a Cubs cap - he might have a hard time living with himself. How would you like to go through life thinking, "I'm the guy who kept my team out of the World Series?"
