I had a long, insightful, and penetrating analysis of the whole insurance problem written up. Then I got called into a ridiculous standards compliance orientation (My company has adopted the Capability Maturity Model Integration Framework, or CMMI.) While I was out of the office having my brains painfully sucked out of my cranium, some helpful roving administrator logged me off my workstation and the piece disappeared into the aether.

I'm too irritated to reconstruct it.

That sucks.
Do what I do: compose in notepad and save as document.txt on the desktop.

Funny you should mention that, because I was composing in notepad. I was yanked into the meeting, and didn't save it. I didn't expect that someone would sneak into my office and turn off my computer without saving the open windows. I found out that they were installing windows security patches for the second time this week.
