SOX WIN PENNANT
The Boston Red Sox just pulled off the greatest comeback in baseball history, defeating the Yankees to win the American League pennant. Just ignore the first three games, and you have a four game sweep. Not so unusual, right? I hope my prediction is wrong. I hope that fate has, for once, something happy in store for the Sox. In the meantime, savor the moment, and treasure the images of sad, sad Yankees.

And it's not like they backed
And it's not like they backed into it either - this was a righteous bitch-slapping.
Now go Astros! And if the Cards should somehow happen to win tomorrow against the Rocket, I, too will be rooting for the Sox.
Johno: I take back all the nasty things I've said about baseball as a boring sport. This has been the most interesting post-season since 1990, and 1976 before that, and 1975 before that.
Is Johnny Damon not the
Is Johnny Damon not the greatest? I know he started out slow for the ALCS, but last night with two homers in two consecutive at bats, with 6 RBI's, what's not to like?
Yes, another girly fan of JD.
I leave you with this:
WWJDD?
YEEAH! As the clock struck
YEEAH! As the clock struck midnight to ring in Mickey Mantle's birthday, the Red Sox beat The Curse.
Make no mistake. The Curse is all about the Yankees. The world series thing, that's really important too, but nothing-- NOTHING is greater on God's grey earth than a team of happy idiots smacking the hell out of their nemeses in their home park.
Now it's all over but the crying.
The curse is not all about
The curse is not all about the Yankees, even though the road to redemption goes through the Bronx.
However, it was fun to see A-Rod cry (not as fun as Jeter in 2002 though).
Patton, excepting the world
Patton, excepting the world series, last year's post season ranks up there. Wathing the Cubs and Sox attept to get to the series was great baseball.
Five times in the past, the winner of the series predicted the presidential election when one of the candidates was from the same state as the winner. To my knowledge, this is the first time that both candidates will have a team from their home state in the series. But I'll still be rooting for the Sox.
However, we know who W's team
However, we know who W's team is--the Texas Rangers, so it might be difficult for him to claim them anyway.
