Horror
My thoughts are with the citizens of Madrid today. Whether it was the homegrown nutjobs of the Basque separatist movement, or the usual Islamofascist nutjobs, a terrible atrocity has been carried out at the expense of hardworking regular Spanish citizens. Like the Onion said two years ago, "we must respond with measured, focused rage."

Apparently an Al Qaida
Apparently an Al Qaida associated group has claimed responsibility:
"The London-based al-Quds al-Arabi newspaper faxed to Reuters' Dubai bureau a copy of a letter purporting to come from the "Abu Hafs al-Masri Brigades." The group aligns itself to al Qaeda, blamed by Washington for September 2001 attacks on the United States."
Link on Drudge. The letter also accused the Spanish of being "crusaders." I really wish they'd get over that, seeing as Christian crusaders were pretty much decisively kicked out of the middle east. You won, why are you still pissed?
B,
B,
You might also ask why the religion of peace insists on blowing people up in the name of the religion peace.
As for the Crusades, d'ja ever notice that the "dialogue" is built around bloodthirsty invaders from Europe, yet never about any actual reason for them invading the Levant in the first place?
And you never will.
I'm watching the Yahoo News
I'm watching the Yahoo News slideshow and I'm pretty much reduced to tears this morning. It's senseless and stupid.
Actually, it is purposeful
Actually, it is purposeful and evil.
Actually it's all four. It's
Actually it's all four. It's purpose without sense, and very stupid and very, very evil.
