Motoring (a tribute to Night Ranger (look it up!))

Via Dave Barry, you CANNOT TELL ME that there are worse drivers than Boston drivers. You CANNOT.

I will believe you - I have driven in Boston. But I will argue that the total driving experience in DC is worse. While Boston drivers are bad, they are all bad in basically the same way. In DC, you have bad drivers from all over the country and the world, each with their own quaint, charming, and eccentric ideom of bad driving.

This makes driving in DC so terrible - you can never predict exactly how your fellow motorists are going to fuck up.

That IS true. You can count on Boston drives to ALWAYS do the WORST thing possible. That can be anticipated, to some extent. But in DC, you get the Italian consul''s wife, a taxi driver, and a tourist from Ohio in the same lane, and you''ll have three different types of driver.

The worst part is when a DC driver actually decides to be courteous. That really fxxkes me up.

Exactly. I wish they'd just cut me off without signaling, while simultaneously beating the kids, sugaring a coffee, changing the radio, and talking on the phone like NORMAL people would.
