Israelis Perfect Nazi Technology

Check this out-- I stole the picture from Occam's Toothbrush (original pointer from the vodkapundit). The Israelis have a gun, a working, shooting gun, that shoots around corners. Note the tiny video display sighting mechanism.

The future is now. Where's my jet pack? I was promised a jet pack.

[wik] GeekLethal helpfully suggested the above headline. I think it's much better than my original nod to "Get Smart," which is all funny and stuff, but who the hell wants a shoe phone? Not me!

Or, "Israelis Perfect Nazi Technology"

Have a read about the Krumlauf (sp?) attachment sometime, a sort of adapter fit on the business end of a Sturmgewehr that sent the round down a curving tube and around a corner.

Even cooler than shooting-around-corner weaponry were the intelligent, hovering, exploding uber munition from "Runaway", that movie where evil Gene Simmons shot at Magnum PI.

I remember that... if I recall, it was a decent idea that worked terribly in practice, and was never successful or widely adopted.

But I'm DEFINITELY changing yon headline.

Yeah yeah, that sounds right... I think the Krumlauff thingy was one of the scary secret technologies unveiled in the closing days of the war. More an oddity than a technology perhaps.

Of course, if you really want to get weird, poke around a search engine with terms like "Nazi super weapons" or something- read about the secret links between the Nazis, the UN, the Trilateral Commission, Council on Foreign Relations, Antarctica, and at least 3 malevolent alien species. I almost pee myself laughing/crying when I do it!
