The Bigtime
Ministry Crony and knitter Mapgirl has been interviewed. Go, and listen as Mapgirl opines on the war on terror, re-gifting, the little nubbly things that appear on sweaters, spiders, and the plight of the nearly extinct tawny-beaked mudnesting terflickewee bird.

Maps,
Maps,
Yes, full credit for not only having a decent knife, but shopping for just the right one. Too bad you can't find the Spyderco you like- everyone I know who has one (which, admittedly, is like 2 people) loves them.
I usually have a cheap combo-edge Boker in my bag or pocket at all times. Which I only desperately need if I forgot it. I have a nice Gerber Gator; I like the rubberized grip, but decided that I'd rather beat up my Boker with daily...um, beat up stuff. Gerber Diesel multitool at home too. I am currently making prep kits for each car; each will have a multitool.
It's amazing that a short time ago all we needed was some sharp flint and sturdy sticks to get by.
Thanks GL!
Thanks GL!
Don't I get any credit for owning a large knife?
I make no comment on the terrorism budget because it's not personal. I do delve into Emergency Preparedness and Emergency Baskets of Cash.
Maps sounded great. And,
Maps sounded great. And, having never heard her speak before, found her very listenable. Maps has a decent radio voice.
What I don't understand though is how she could speak intelligently about all these aspects of personal finance, and not once discuss a terror budget, or how much to invest toward personal survival after Ragnarok.
I mean, last I knew she doesn't even own a machete.
