More M:tG at FARK

Over at FARK, folks are working on a series of Magic: the Gathering cards devoted to political and cultural issues.

Some are better than others of course, but a few really shine for me:

Freetards

Cool Like Fonzie

Disaster Brau

Personal fave below the fold:

So as I look at these cards on FARK, I imagined a real game that should be created! It would involve all the current polical things and all that cultural stuff and the cards would be funny as hell. They should make a real game like this but alas it will never happen. So I must restort to wishing I had the Theodore Roosevelt Card and wishing I can con someone into giving me the rare Saun Juan Hill card.

However I think they should stop making everything that is semi popular into a card game. Like for instance every Japanese cartoon that comes to America or Harry Potter. If they do this I at least would wat too see Transformers CCG and SEX CCG.

BS, that's not that bad an idea. If you were equally insulting to all sides, it could be rare fun. A friend of mine forced me at gunpoint to play magic, and if I recall correctly, there were five colors for the cards, each representing a type of magic.

You could line up the political forces like this:

Red: heartless conservatives from that senator from maine in the middle all the way to the John Birch society.

Blue: goofy liberals from the DLC to Noam Chomsky

Grey: the soulless bureaucracy that exists independent of partisan politics.

Yellow: The Media. Aligns typically with blue, but is ultimately destructive of all forces but its own. Includes news, bloggers, movie stars and people who are famous for being famous.

White: The sheeple. Aligns typically with red, but must be influenced for any other color to win.

Black: Wingnuts and black helicopters. Aligns typically with grey, but can be a dangerous weapon to use on anyone.
