The post right before that one is a homophobic joke from Brookheiser, from whom I expect better--

The folks at National Review have totally lost me. They have reverted to the same smug, snotty, oh-we're-so-smaaart tone that I tend to associate with neoconservatives, much as I associate wild-eyed doomsaying with hardcore Greens.
