I did just make that same point in an email-- that 'bureaucracy' has been taken to mean 'artifice'. I'm going to give this one 24 hours to marinade before I bring out the long, dull knives, but I dunno, man. Something smells here, and I remembered to shower today.

Johno, bad thoughts is whining about this one over on his blog. Even if we did invade purely for oil, is that so shallow? Oil is the critical resource that powers the modern world. It is the critical point of failure for damn near everything. It is important.
